Young Granny Smith Custom by Amandkyo-Su Young Granny Smith Custom by Amandkyo-Su
For :iconpixijenjen: Before anyone complains about her colors and/or design, the commissionee wanted the lovely Granny Smith to look like the one in this picture: pixijenjen.deviantart.com/art/… .

I loved making this custom ( >w< ) When I first saw the episode, I want to make Young Granny Smith and the Timberwolves. I was delighted when pixijenjen commissioned me for this pony <3 (thank you). I started on a Timberwolf but I probably won't finish it for another few weeks months (here a WIP shot amandkyo.tumblr.com/post/18008…

This pony's braids were tricky. I haven't done anything like this before so I had to think of a new method to use. After many days of on-and-off attempts, I got it!

I've never worked with hot wax before so I wouldn't do a good job :/ Do you know how to work with hot wax?

sort of when i was in art class my junior year
its one thing to make the mold cus once the mold of the wax model is made its easy but removing the pony used for the mild would be the tough part >.<

You could try it if you have the supplies :D I haven't seen a wax G4 pony before. You could be the first! It sounds like removing the thing won't be fun :/

Oh! I know what you're talking about! I remember hearing about that process when people make sculptures out of metal. I'm not sure what other material you can use either.

This looks amazing! I'm a huge fan of customs and you completely won my attention! The bonnet is probably my favorite part! The color scheme is great, and it truly looks like you spent a lot of time on it. The eyes and cutie mark look very well made! This is amazing, and completely show accurate! Congratulations, I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you thank you! I actually didn't choose the colors, they were based off a a picture that ~pixijenjen wanted me to use. I glad you liked the other things that I did though :D

There have been a few people that made this pretty character already. One great thing about bronies is that they work fast! This is one of my favorite customs of her: [link]

I'm excited to see what your Granny Smith will look like! Don't worry too much, maybe the braids aren't that thick~

I don't have time to make a spare one because of all my commissions and the ponies I have to make for BronyCon.

Awww, young Granny Smith has such an adorable and unique character design, I betcha this was a joy to work with! ^^

The pony braids came out outstanding! And the timberwolf is coming out pretty well too, despite the early stage. ^__^

Those braids were so cute! I wish I knew what her cannon hair colors is! I wonder she had a white mane her entire life.

Thank you and thank you :3 I wanna learn more sculpting techniques before I do anymore with the Timberwolf.

I have not yet commented on this because I have not been at home. Now that I'm at home, I shall comment. =D

Hm, lessee. I actually like the deeper colors on her here, very fetching. Her bonnet's so cute too. X3 She kinda looks like molded candy - is that intentional? :O_o: Nom nom, all that...?

Heh, anyhow, young Granny Smith was adorable in the show and is adorable here as well. ^^ (I really liked Family Appreciation Day in the end; not sure how wildly divergent of an opinion that is.) If I had MONEY and POWER and TIME and BASKETBALLS I'd likely request another one of these to commission you. X3 Sadly I have none of those at the moment. ;_; *broke hug*

Need more of this: :iconmoneyplz:

No worries. You are Tek. The Tekkiest Tek who can comment if he wishes or not or comment weekssss from now. She does look a bit nommy now... Darn, I can't eat her, she'll break apart and taste like ew. I wish I knew how to make sugar sculptures. Then I could make nommy ponies >:3

She was pretty cute :3 She was, and still is, a quirky little pony. I liked the episode too~ It had some cool moments. The timberwolves looked cool too!

Don't spend money on ponies! You need it for school and and food and you need to buy gadgets to fight off villains!

You can get ponies on your birthday :D or half birthday or Awesome-Friend-Super-Cool Day.

*awesome btwBATMAN hug*

Thank you~ Yep, I used sculpey. I tried looking for the Mod Podge you told me about before. When I went to the art store, it looked like they were low in stock of everything (I managed to get the last box of sculpey that day) so maybe I chose a bad time to look :/

I wanna work with it and see how it goes for me. Hopefully I can do it right!

I didn't go but I heard that Lauren Faust was there~ I also saw a video that had my fashion sized DJ Pon3 in it :3 I think I wanna write a journal about it in a moment.

It has worked pretty well for me so far. Just be sure to paint it on pretty smoothly to avoid a dripping texture or bubbles. I kinda went overboard when I put it on my Discord sculpture...

Oh, well how did that get there, did you give it to her or to the guy who had her sign it in that one pic on EqD?

Painting can be difficult as times ( =__= ) A terrible paint job can also ruin a beautiful piece of art too...

He was the guy who won my DJ Pon3 at Bronycon in January. I didn't realize that she sign the pony too! Cool~ He must be one happy guy right now ( >w< )

I can probably send these cute little guards, the lovely Luna, and some blind bags by Tuesday. I'll provide more details when I send the note with pictures ;D
